Climate

Owing to being a plateau mountain area in low latitudes and high elevation, Guizhou enjoys a humid and moderate climate.

Zunyi, the second biggest city in the province, is free of both severe winter and sultry summer, enjoying delightful weather all year round. The annual average temperature of Zunyi stands at 15.3¡ãC. In January the temperatures range from 2¡ãC/36¡ãF to 10¡ãC/50¡ãF. In July the temperatures vary from 20¡ãC/68¡ãF to 28¡ãC/82¡ãF. Its annual rainfall totals 1,200 mm, with about half the rain falling in the summer. The frost-free period lasts 280 days. It is indeed worthy of the title of a spring city.
